Care Guide

Ceramics are made to be used. A little care keeps them part of daily life for longer.

Everyday care

  • Wash gently with warm water and mild dish soap.
  • Avoid sudden temperature shock, such as moving a cold piece directly into boiling water.
  • Dry pieces fully before storing them in closed cupboards.

Food, candles, and plants

Use each piece according to the notes in its Etsy listing. Candleholders, planters, cups, bowls, and decorative pieces may have different surfaces and practical limits.

Dishwasher and microwave

If a listing does not explicitly say dishwasher or microwave safe, treat the piece as hand-wash only. Handmade glazes and sculptural details last longer with gentler handling.

Small marks

Handmade ceramics can carry small variations, glaze movement, tool marks, and surface character. These are part of the object, not a flaw, unless the item is damaged in transit.
